Daniel Levesque is a documentary filmmaker originally from Wrentham, Massachusetts. When he was 11-years-old, Dan watched Davis Guggenheim's Waiting for Superman (2010) and became fascinated with stories about those forgotten by the political establishment.

Daniel attended Middlebury College where he received a B.A. in Film and Political Science. During his time at Middlebury, he
won a grant to make a feature-length documentary about the COVID-19 pandemic's in Vermont, and shot his thesis film, a documentary about anarchist protestors who tried to prevent the eviction of Burlington's largest homeless encampment.

While working as a videography for the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival, Dan met legendary documentary director Marc Levin. Marc offered Dan a job in New York as a production assistant for his company, Blowback Productions. Daniel hit the ground running and was promoted to associate producer within a year. He helped bring It's Basic (2023) to its premiere at Tribeca and An American Bombing (2024) to HBO. Dan is currently working on a PBS American Experience documentary with the Blowback team and shooting his own short about NYC's night-cycling culture.
